Specifically, loaded 100 rounds of 5.56mm, 50 SPs, and 50 Ballistic Tips. I'm waiting on two cases of freeze dried foods to come in to add to my long-term larder. Been on order a week so should be any day now. I'm well over six months now of three meals a day for the family and that's just the long-term stuff, (long-term shelf life of >5 years). Still haven't put my pasta in mason jars with O2 absorbers. I really need to get around to that.

I began making list of what all I need and how important it is. I separated them into food, various items, gun supply, knowledge. The knowledge one is what books or stuff I want to print out. These list are getting long but I wish I would have done it sooner.

I cannot do much on a daily basis, as I am sitting in my hooch in Iraq. However, what I do is each tour I create a list of things to do and things to acquire when I go on break. If I come up with anything "brilliant" I write it down. Then as I revisit my list periodically before going home, I re evaluate and make adjustments to the list. Some things after reflecting on them seem like not so great ideas, others seem prudent.
It is my own method, but I believe it helps and maybe saves me a bit of money in the long run. It also gives me something to do.

I have mine planted now. I have 4 55 gallon tubs and 3 25 gallon tubs as well and 2 large planters planted.
They are all about two feet full of dirt with 6 inches to spare.
I call mine the mobile garden, since I could take all of them with me and move them.
I have two strawberry plants, 3 Serrano pepper plants, two jalapeño plants, 3 roman tomato plants, two regular tomato plants, two bell pepper plants, two cauliflower plants, 1 parsley plant and two cilantro plants. Also have 6 sweet peas plants, As well as some onions. I have a bunch of okra in geraniums. So hopefully I will do better this year.
Home Depot had a large selection of vegetable plants so I bought them this year. Last year I started too late and my cats ate my first two rounds of seedlings. So it was a total failure. Only my tomatoes gave me anything at all.
This year I got a huge head start by just buying smaller plants ready to go into the ground.
I have heard cauliflower needs a cooler climate, so I guess they will most likely die in the Texas heat.
I was also thinking about doing a few hanging vegetable plants and going vertical. Thoughts on my setup?

Thanks!

I like your ideas but potted plants need more water, however if portability is your goal you win. I am growing two tomato plants in those "topsy turvy" upsidedown planters. I will report back on their progress. Jim

I went and put up my 10x10 canvas tent over them and tried to seal all the sides up with tarps. Should help a little. Not suppose to freeze, but it's gonna be close. I was also thinking about getting a few of those upside down plants.
