Doing a speech on gun control., Need your help finding some charts and stats.

I have to do a 4-6 minute persuasive speech for class and about the only topic I can think of was gun control. I have to have three main points. The first will be on certain restrictive laws. The second will be on statistics, and the third will be on a solution.

I was thinking about getting the laws and stats from the UK where they recently banned. Where could I find these laws and stats?

So... ideas and links?

Violent crimes in the UK. Also if you want a shocker look up the stats in Australia and Japan.

I think you could do speech on the Mexican gangs, how the anti-gunners want to blame the US for the firepower, and the proff that the guns and grenades aren't availble in the US. You can then show the whole anti-gun side is based on distorted facts and fear mongering.

I dont know the correct stats but I dont ever remimber there being a mass murder like the one at Ft Hood, Lubys, or any other place that was not in a "gun free" zone.

Start with the NRA.

I like it because it's domestic, it's proveable, and it's recent.
