Hey guys, title says it all...

thoughts?

Pricey option, Fusion wants $175 extra for the cut, I like the looks, but don't know that it'd be worth it.

the grips could be a PITA as well....

But then I got my Addax Gas piston AR. Sure I still have to keep a few small replacement parts, but I'll let you kick me in the balls for every malfunction I have with my Addax GPU, thats how reliable it is!

So far we are at, hold on, let me check..... ZERO!

I like the cut myself because it breaks up the "print" of the grip under a shirt by eliminating the tell-tale sharp corner. Grips are becoming more available as well.

Pros: shaves some weight, makes it more concealable, looks are subjective as far as resale value goes, some will like it and some will hate it.

Con's: I haven't found any other than the grips and the fact that soem traditionalists won't like it.

Best suited to commanders and officers models as far as concealed carry goes. (Just my $.02, but I have a bit of trouble effectively CCing a full size in the temperature range down here. Someone in the cooler climate of the north east may not have as much trouble or a larger fella may be better suited than I am.

I have both a Govt model and a Commander bobtailed and I am very happy with them. It does help with "printing" especially if wearing an IWB rig. Weight loss is neglible and I have found most like the look. Bottom line is whether or not you like it as it's your $$. It doesn't affect the grip in any way of that's a concern and as pointed out many styles of grips are available plus it's easy to modify your own.

A bob-tailed Commander size is my idea of the ideal 1911 CCW pistol.

As previously stated, now that a good selection of grips is becoming available, there's no reason not to go for it, if you have a pistol in mind.
