AR15 Armory.com _ Full Auto Armory _ SBR question

Posted by: Valkyrie1911 November 4th 2009 5:44 PM

Ok, so this wont be for a while, I turn 21 in April and I have several other projects planned in between now and that time. My question is, if I save up, like a good little boy, for a 10.5 upper and suppressor, can I swap that out on my current AR lower? If I remember correctly that is not legal, am I right? Only reason I ask, was that if I could save up and get those 2 parts, it would mean I wouldn't have to buy the whole thing at one sitting, but the more I thought about it the more I seemed to remember it was a no no to mommy and daddy in the big house... thumbdown.gif

To place you SBR upper on your lower, your lower must be registered as a SBR before you legally can marry the two together.

Silencer you can use with either configuration, since it is registered as it's own tax stamp.

Ok, I guess that answers my question. Just means I have to wait a bit longer to get it...oh well.

Yea, at least in the mean time I plan to get a M1a and a Kimber 1911. Yes I've been saving and am continuing to save.

N/M

I was going to tell you to make it a pistol, then get the stamp, and add the stock, but you need to be 21 to get the pistol.
