It's the concussion coming off the break. It really batters your head around.

I have a vid somewhere around here that you've probably seen already where the vibration from the 51 makes my buddy's oakleys fall apart bigsmile.gif

We really just dump 20 rounders out of it for fun. The targets are 100 yards away anyway and there's no chance you could get more than the first shot on target anyway.

Now the HK23 on the other hand ;)

Alas, most of the brothers and sisters have grown up and left home. sad.gif I've had to sell off most of my NFA stuff to help fund my business venture. AT one time I had a Mac-11, 3 Uzis, 2 FNCs, and the MP5SD. Now I'm down to the two above. Guess I should have said "my two" instead of "a couple of." Old habits die hard.

Posted by: C_G_R November 7th 2005 6:26 PM

How was the FNC? They seem to be around 2-3 k cheaper than an rr-16 or an RDIAS amd even that much cheaper than an Lightning link.

Well the pic makes the suppressor look twice as long as the reciever and I know how long the recievers are. I guess that is just a bad angle to judge length from. blink.gif

They are an excellent rifle, in many ways better than the M16.

The problem with the M16s, as I see it, is the wide disparity in implementations, from Ligthtning Links, to RDIAS and SP1 conversions, to U.S. Govt property authentic M16s. Frankly a lot of stuff at the lower end ain't worth the money. And at the other end the prices are reaching the threshhold of pain level.

That said, the M16/M4 rifles are classic, and if I could only own a single NFA weapon in a rifle caliber it would be an M16. They're just sexier than the FNCs. smile.gif

With the mackjack in it yeah, she runs like a sewing machine on full speed. Normally its around 1200RPM.... I was thinking about a rate reducer, but its just money I dont need to spend right now. I got other projects to do.

One of the reasons I took it that way was to show that perspective, AND because the whole thing wont fit in the shot unless yer way far away, and those pics suck.

Thank you, glad to have you here. Hope you visit often. Very nice Thompson, by the way.

On your SP1 lower, who made the upper? Is that a Bushmaster A2 upper?

And kudos on the original vinyl-acetate coated aluminum buttstock. Don't see those very often.

Are you running a conventional weight buffer or an "H"-weight buffer in that CAR? Any modifications (enlarged gas port, extractor "o"-ring, extra-strength extractor springs, etc...) or did it just run like a scalded dog from the word go?

Very nice collection. Hope you can post some pics of them in action in the future.

Stryker 1112,

Nice host weapon there. Do you like the A.R.M.S. 22M68 with the cantilever spacer?

That is a sweet setup, there Racer!

I wish they had reliable .22 conversions for the MP5. And I'm hopeful that Lage will come through with his .22 upper for the M11.

My first attempt at a picture, hope it works. It's a coverted SP1 lower with a mutt upper. CMMG barrel, Bushmaster bolt/carrier, etc.

Here is my XM177E2 and the dedicated 22 upper we built about 18 years ago using a 10/22 barrel.

The 22 Conversion

And the pair ready to head out to the desert.

Sure fun to rock and roll!!
