Ordered this from REI.
Big Agnes Whiskey Park +0 Degree Sleeping Bag

Should serve me well for the winter and early spring trips to Utah.
It gets freezing cold at night.

Sweet. Never seen one of those before, but it looks nice.

A few weeks ago during my quarterly pilgrimage to Boise Cabelas, I bought one of their 44 magnum -20 sleeping bags, for elk hunting up in the snow next weekend.

Nice bag Legs. Where do you go to in Utah? I was thinking taking my GF on a trip to Provo or Ruidoso, NM this winter. I have been to Ruidoso before, how do you think they compare?

Get a good pad, the Navajo Sandstone in UT can be rough.

I got the perfect pad that you blow up and stuff inside the back sleeve of the bag.
This is it.

Will not carry that for hikes though. Would take this on hikes.

This one is very light weight and have already been on 4 different hikes with it.
Grand Canyon (Havasu Falls), Canyonlands Needles area, the Tetons and Shi Shi Beach in Olympic NP.

Compresses down to only 5 inches tall.

Everywhere south of I-70. Going to the Maze in March too.
On the winter trip, I am going to the Wave, some hoodoo rock formations near Page AZ, Arches, Escalante and maybe Bryce again. Been to all these areas many times. But I got a bad ass camera and some new lenses so I have to reshoot everything all over again...At least, thats my excuse for going so many times.

March will be trip #10 to Utah.

Love Big Agnes!

I made a sleep system from Big Agnes bags.

MSS Goretex bivy sack
Big Agnes Lost Ranger 15°
Big Agnes Yampa 40° (I think)
Big Agnes dual core air mattress
REI self inflating pad

Use some or all as needed. Hasn't been cold enough to try the whole package.

I'm really impressed with the big agnes bags. That whiskey park looks really good, the one I keep wanting is the horse thief. That is the one piece of camping gear that I don't have covered; a really good bag. I have a few synthetic slumberjacks that do the trick for 3 seasons here, but for actual winter I am out of options without multiple bags.

I just got issued an REI self inflating pad, how long does it usually take one to inflate, I can't find info for that anywhere, I was watching it for a good hour n fell asleep before the danged thing seemed to be full, n no I wasn't layin on it, in the morning the thing sure didn't seem worth it though, foam pads seem thicker n I don't like them neither

They inflate themselves in under 10 seconds, probably more like 2. All they are really doing is just expanding to the size of the foam that was compressed when they were deflated. You can usually blow them up a little bit manually if you really want to, but it usually makes just a tiny difference overall.
