Get the Wolff 22lb spring. You may also have a problem with the Mag. I have 4 mags and only one will take more than 7 rounds without installing a Grams spring and Follower kit.

I love mine. Unfortunately, my wife loved it too, so I don't get a lot of trigger time on it anymore.

I agree with the above. I have a 22lb recoil spring in mine, and the extra power mag springs. I keep the mags topped off and the run fine.

Get the 22# spring and the extra power mag springs too. There should also be an extra power firing pin spring in the set as well.
This set up will serve you for full power handloads or factory ammo.

What's nice is many of the Witness spring sets are for various calibers...a one size fits all. The design of the piston is similar for various calibers.
Try this link to start for your recoil spring.
http://www.gunsprings.com/SemiAuto/EAANF.html#RecoilFullSize

So the stock number for a Witness 10 with a 22# spring would be 49722 (497 is the stock number and the 22 is for the poundage).

I will check further for the mag springs. I know they are out there as my former Witness had them.

You are right. thumb.gif
I just checked here:
http://www.midwayusa.com/viewproduct/?productnumber=481401

Those should work in the 10.
I do not know why Wolff does not list them on their site.

I did not replace my hammer springs. Maybe someone else here can make a suggestion concerning that.

The pull on your Match will be fine left stock if it is like mine.

My standard witness could still use some TLC after the fluff and buff, but is really more than acceptable for a carry piece. I might see if Hennings can look at it since I will be about a mile from his shop over Thanksgiving.

I believe that you will enjoy your Witness Match a great deal. A 20-pound spring is all that you'll really need to handle the "full-house" 10mm loads. If you do move up to the 22-pound spring, you may get some frame battering. The Browning P-35 type of recoil system handles the 10mm's recoil impulse quite well.

Enjoy your new aquisition.

Hi sgmtino, I just got a new match also, which also has the combat sport 10 name, and the new rail on the frame. However, mine did not come with a second interchangeable front sight, which they used to. The description on EAA's website still says they're included, although that description also has a 2006 date on it. I need to call EAA about it. Did yours come with the second interchangeable front sight?
