Anyone have any recommendations for a nice rifle bag? I have a 16" Carbine. Would a 36" bag work, or would I need a 42" bag? Definitely would have to have some magazine pouches.

Do you guys take your cleaning stuff and extra small parts, tools, etc to the range with you too? I guess a range bag would be good for that, or a tackle box from wally world?

Check out Tactical Tailor, they are one of our sponsors. Their stuff is made in America which is a big plus in my eyes. thumb.gif

With a collapsible stock a 36 inch bag is definitely long enough. My longest carbine is 33 1/8 inches collapsed and it has a 1/2 inch pad on the stock.

I have a 36in Blackhawk, it just fits my 16in AR. I'll probably pick up a niceer one as soon as my next build is done.

Blackhawk is made in either Vietnam or China. Both Tactical Tailor and Eagle are made in the US and both are Armory Sponsors.

They cost more than the China made ones, but they last a lot longer!

And they keep jobs in America and keep the board running. Plus Armory members get a discount from Tactical Tailor. Check their forum here: click.

I love my 5.11 Tactical 36" soft case. I've really abused it over the last year and it's still serviceable. I use it daily to transport my duty rifle. For a close out price of $45 right now you can't beat it.
