i have a fullsized mosin nagant, 91. i found an aimsport scope/mount/rings package for 70$ but its says for the m44. ive read very good things about the combo, but im curious if the mount is different, or just shorter? will it work or now?

if not, does anyone know where to get the same package for the 91/30

I would strongly recommend you get the S&K Mosin Mount. It is a serious piece of forging for about $80. I have used their stuff before.
The 91/30 and the 44 Aim Sport's are usually listed at various distributors as being able to be used on both models even though one is a bit shorter.
I have the short Aim Sport and it kept losing zero with the set screws. My Mosins are serious rifles too.

The S&K is model specific so 91/30, 38 and 44's get different ones. Why they do that I do not know. Because on most of these you just punch out the front sight and slip it in.

There are plenty of places that sell the NCSTAR cheapie LER Scout scope. Rings are just standard 1" available anywhere.
For range work mine is tolerable, but again an S&K with a Leuplod 2-8 LER or a Burris is what we should save our pennies for.
Mine was on the cheap just to see if I could tolerate a scout style set up.

Kalinka has original style pso 3.5 scopes with mount for the mosin that you take to the gunsmith and he drills and taps to have authentic WWII scope set up for the rifle.
