i had an itchy trigger finger to draw first blood with the Tribute, so i took a doe this afternoon. nothing fancy, 50 yard broadside shot, knocked both of her lungs to a pulp. the thompson center 250gr shockwave sabot made a heck of an exit wound. wink.gif

this one is gonna get ground into sausage i do believe. eat smiley.gif

Shockwave aint no joke. I use them in my encore.

Congrats on the doe meat. I will be glad when I have a few days off of the road so I can get some tree stand time in.

Nice deer. Is that the exit wound visible just above the scope?

yup. she was feeding around the bowl of a ridge and she was slightly above me so it entered about an inch or two lower than that on the other side and came out a little high.

All right Pard!

I thought that I was gonna' have to shoot in self defense last night. I had a young buck charge straight at me. He veered off about 20yds out and took off. With a gun, he'd have been hanging in the barn, but it's still just bow season and I don't willingly take shots like that.

Sweet!!!!
You got blood on the new gun!!! Gotta love that.

Those shockwaves hammer game hard with 100-150gr of powder, very accurate as well. Are you using the regular shockwave or the bonded version? I use the bonded in one rifle and the Hornady sabots in the other inline.
