I just got back from MEPS. I'm as healthy as a horse and in perfect shape... But I'm red-green color blind I found out. I'm just completely torn apart inside, I dont know about the army or any LE work I wanted to do.

The man has really helped me a lot along the way. Because of my "color blindness" I'm now a medic () and have a seat in the airborne rangers for when I finish AIT. Looks like everything is going to work out perfect and now I'm fully enlisted !

If I ever get tired of packing parachutes and jumping out of planes, I would go EOD too. I'm insane like that. Should be a fun school, Get to handle all kinds of ordnance (Then blow it up later, Woohoo!) Good luck.

I actually chose the airborne rangers option to be tacked onto it so right after AIT its right to ranger school (Or at least the 3 week period before they choose people). So maybe I'll see you up in the skies QUOTE (Jonathan68W) 68Whiskeys for the win! You got that right!

I'm just completely torn apart inside, I dont know about the army or any LE work I wanted to do. I think this is better suited for someone entering the Armed Services anyhow. In the Corps you have to be selected to become EOD, you can't do it as a boot. Is there any reason you don't want to go Grunt? Congrats on your choice to serve your country, just make sure to put in 110% at all times, and have plenty of fun while doing it.

You need Airborne qualification first, Which is 3 weeks at Basic Airborne Course. RIP is 4 weeks long, Ranger school is 2 months. Airborne school is hard, I started with a class of over 700 and graduated with 464. Good luck in RIP... 3 of my buddies made it through. Remember, Its all a mind game and you'll be alright.
