Am building a 300/221 Fireball (Whisper) and want to get a 30 cal can for it. Have the question of CLEO signature out to the local Sheriff's department. He's not known to be very cooperative, so am holding my breath and saying my small prayers.
Am curious though ... have heard of folks using 9mm cans on the 300 Whisper. Anyone used a 30 cal rifle can on a .223 rifle? Understand that it would not be as quiet, but would it help enough to bother trying it? Assuming one bought a high quality can (like the SAS SS or Titanium) would use on a .223 damage it?
Thanks!
Mike

How did it go?

Going to start the creation of an NFA trust next week, then move my two existing units it and acquire the suppressor.
Do have the same question that you do ... is SAS still in business?

Still no reply here on my end. No idea what's going on with them.

County Sheriff is not signing any ATF forms these days. Is a PITA. Doesn't seem to matter that he is only attesting that there is no local law prohibiting a transfer ... and I already have two legally transfered NFA weapons.

Oh yes, of course he's still in business and very busy! You know how to get in touch with him? If not let me know & I can send you the link. I have 2 of his suppressors and have been very happy with them. He makes high quality stuff & stands behind them, and his prices are great.

So ... did an NFA trust. SAS still doing business. Can is ordered but not yet delivered to the local dealer. Will use it on a 300/221 (soon to be redone to a 300 AAS Blackout as it appears to be the most current), 6,8 SPC II, and 5.56. Appropriate FH adapters have been ordered.
Will have SAS thread the Douglas bbl on my Savage 10 in 308 Win as well.
Will send in the first Form 4s for that can and a YHM 9mm pistol can at the same time.
