I'm interested to know what accessories you guys have and where you got them from. Grips, holsters, lasers, sights etc.

I'm trying to find a Concealment holster, so any "belt clip holster" or "inside the waistband holster" you recommend would help.

Being a college student :beer2: , I'm counting every penny so the cheaper the better, without sacrificing quality that is. :help:

I have yet to find a holster that I can carry comfortably. My next try will be sideways small of the back.

Wilson Combat makes a bunch of accessories for the 1911, I think speed chute and shok-buffs are a necessity. They range in prices from low to holy cow!

As for a holster, Bianchi makes a good one for pretty cheap.

I like the Comp-Tac CTAC for a holster.

I don't like Shock Buffs.

Get as many mags as you can afford.

good grips and good sights are the most important "add on" i can think of for a pistol.

shop around and dont settle for a cheap holster. you will regret going cheap....you dont have to spend $150.00 for descent holster, but i doubt $30.00 will get you a good one.

For quality holsters that are priced very well have a look at the ones here: http://front-line.co...deWaistband.htm

The holsters for serious use in Israel come from Front Line. We are bringing the leather and New Generation materials in. The leather with alpha lining is really cool.

Ive had pretty good luck with my fobus paddle holster, its simple functional and since im a little overweight its a lot more comfortable to wear than iwb holsters. Only prob is the gun is mostly exposed so you gotta dress to cover it, but if you can go around with your shirt untucked itll cover most if not all of it. And i think it only cost about $36 when i got mine a couple years ago, probly still pretty close to that.

Update...My Montana XL from C5 leather is pretty comfy for full size carry and at less than $70 is a steal. Its made of good leather and is convertible from IWB to OWB.

Grips can be had cheap or a pricey as you like. Pick the ones that work best for you. Been using VZ grips and Alumagrips lately.

Sights are critical. Not much is more important that being able to get on target quickly and accurately. Not cheap, but thats life in the city.
