I have a Beowulf that is currently sightless.. Well.. not really. I bought a TruGlo red dot for it but I jumped the gun. After reading about it I see that it wont last very long on the Beo... Soooo in the parts bin that goes for now..

I was thinking about a magnified scope up top (couple hundred yard type deal) & some iron (short range) sights mounted off to the side.

Now here's where the help comes in...What do you suggest? I know nothing about the optics/sights. This is a target shooter only. Do I need to change my handgaurd? Break it down for me.. I wanna learn... lol

Thank You,
Bear

There’s only one way to get real gun control: Disarm the thugs and the criminals, lock them up and if you don’t actually throw away the key, at least lose it for a long time… It’s a nasty truth, but those who seek to inflict harm are not fazed by gun controllers. I happen to know this from personal experience.”

Not sure about putting a magnified scope and iron sights on the gun unless the scope is elevated above them.

As for the handuard, whatever's comfortable is what you should use. A lot of people put rails ebcause they have stuff they like to put on their gun. My primary reason for having a quad rail is that I use a red dot scope but don't want a sight tower front sight, I like to have a magpul flip up.

Also, I use a foregrip on mine, there's nothing on the sides and I continually take the light on and off. But mine isn't for shooting distances, thus all of this is up to the end user--you.
