I figured the best way to test it and see if it worked fine was to bump fire it. lol

It jammed up after about 20-25 rounds. I had a micxture of HP and SP in it, and in this picture, you can see what happened after it got to the soft points.

Nice videos! On the other videos on what looks like a deck over looking a pond or something, is that your backyard? Or some kind of vacation property. I would be good to be able to shoot off a back porch.

Thats one of my friends dads back yard. The water is a bayou that runs behind his house. My buddy got an alligator tag a killed one with his M1A over there a while back. I need to get some pics of it from him.

Thats probably why you got those jams. I have one of those drums too, never used it. Bought it for the hell of it when some store a few years back had a sale. General rule of thumb is stick with mags from countries that actually fielded the AK.

I've got one of those Korean mags. I've never used anything but FMJ's though. I would have jams as I started getting down to the last forty rounds or so. Just give the key a few more turns as you empty the mag and it'll be fine. Of course it could also be that I didn't wind it tight enough at the beginning too, but it seems like winding as it empties would put less wear on the spring.

I have a Romanian underfolder AK and an original Romanian 75 round drum. I have not tried soft point ammo with it. HP and FMJ work great. No jams through the complete full mag. The barrel got plenty hot though. :)

Ive always heard that the Koreans had some of the most state of the art sheet metal facilities, and were amazing at replicating things. I have some of their HK style AR mags and they are amazing.

But anyways, this mag is purely for fun, so if it ends up being a wall hanger, its a cool wall hanger. lol
