Some people just don't get it. This is not being done to protect criminals, this is being done to protect the civil liberties of those who are not inclined to break the law. I know that many that wear the badge think there should be nothing that can not be done because we are the good guys and everyone else is bad or at least has the potential to be bad. The simple fact is most people who wear and most who don't wear a badge are not bad people. The thing is we don't want this to be the police state like happened to developed in other countries.

Always remember that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
