Beautiful! We have a pair of Red Tail hawks nesting in our willow tree.
But nothing as stately as those!

Nice photos Scotto,

I would be hard pressed to find a more patriotic symbol of our Country than the Bald Eagle. They are so beautiful in person, huge Raptors.

Very nice. I was able to get a few pictures of Eagles at Grand Tetons NP a long time ago. I have no idea where those pictures are. Awesome birds of prey.

Around here we did get a lot of eagles coming back in the winter. They would leave when the lakes froze over then return when the fishing shanties got out on the ice. Hard to get an injured fish to go back down the hole, so fishermen just threw them out onto the ice. Recently, the DNR has been telling fishermen they can't throw unwanted fish on the ice, so we don't get nearly as many eagles coming back for the winter.

Very cool pictures Scotto!
The Ohio division of wildlife has transplanted some Bald Eagles around a lake not far from my home. They have nested there seasonaly for the past few years. We see them quite a bit in the spring and summer when we go to the lake.
It's sad how some folks don't know what they are when they see them.
I like their wingspan. Huge!

It was probably 10 years ago and i saw 8 bald eagles all in one tree and 6 of them had white heads.

I will never forget it. Awesome experience.

Thanks for sharing and great pics!

God they must be a beautiful sight to see. All I've been fortunate only to see redtails, one great owl, & the few falcons. I've never seen a bald eagle in person. I can't believe that people hunted them at one time.
