My bride and I are going to a Bob and Rocco gun show today Is it going to be posible to find a striped lower for under $100? I see Lowers online for this price and lower Or would I be better off waiting and just picking up ammo

You might be able to find some, but I would stick to some of the better known brands if you can. You might be able to find a Stag for $100.

You can get a Spikes Tactical lower for around $80-90 IIRC.
Ive built on one of those and they are pretty good lowers.

YHM lowers are good, they should be about what you want to pay. I saw a DPMS lower for $100 locally, but I went with an Aeroprecision as it had Multi-Cal on it for another 6.8 I have.

Somebody just posted the other day (actually, I'm sitting here looking at there latest sales paper) Centerfire System Inc's machined upper & lower set sale - SOLID BILLET, mind you - $189 for a SET! Hard to beat.

Even down here in Texas the gun shows are still a bit behind the curve. It's cheaper to buy from the stores than most show booths. Only the big guys that have brisk online business are pricing fairly at the shows right now. If you don't have those kinds of sellers at your local show then there is less pressure for prices to drop.
I went to 3 shows straight late in the summer where Ammo To Go had a booth. Their prices were dropping because supply was returning. But it took those three shows over 2 months for everyone else selling ammo to take the hint and drop their prices too.
I was seeing S&W AR's selling at the show for $1200 for the same model I could buy at a store in town for $900.
I imagine that smaller market gun shows would be even worse than Houston's big shows.

Shop I was in today had CMMG lowers for $179. According to the clerk, a price drop has got to be coming, they aren't moving any at that price.

I recently purchased 2 complete lowers from Delton for $170 each. Had to wait awhile to get them. Don't know if the pipeline is open now or not.

So far we're lucky in Idaho, easy to buy a firearm or lower receiver. Recently went to Impact Guns, picked out a S&W lower for $130, filled out the form, no background check if you have a CCW, pay the man and take it home. Haven't bought a firearm at a gun show lately, last one was 3 years ago but the procedure was the same. Can't imagine it's any different today.

A couple of locals here have good deals on lowers. One guy has multi cal YHM for $100 and the other has DPMS 5.56 lowers for $100. BTW, I paid $175 for my S&W 9 months ago.

Check out JTAC for lowers. If your local FFL doesn't rape you for transfer he has some good deals. You have to add some to your cart to get the real price because they are below MAP pricing. JTAC lowers link. TS

I was just at a show in Fredericksburg VA last week and picked up two Rock River Arms lowers for $150.00 a piece - not bad considering with mail order I got to pay my FFL $65.00 a pop... I saw YHM (Yankee Hill Machine) lowers for $120.00 and a couple no namers for $90.00. Ammo prices were still high here... I was talking to some of the dealers and they said that a glut of parts, ammo may be coming and prices are dropping even at the wholesale level... I don't wait though, If I see something I want and like and the price is reasonable (and I have the cash) I get it. I've been screwed too many times on real estate and my 401K to play the wait and see game.

I like hitting shows mid-afternoon on Sundays - they're MUCH more willing to cut a deal, if it means they DON'T have to haul it back home again!
