Im not that big of a Glock fan but I will tell ya G26 and or G30 look pretty tempting, Im also eyeing the Taurus Millenium Pro in .45, I have a standard springfield xd 9mm but was thinking of a xd 9mm in subcompact. what say you guys? Uhh, from my experience, Glock is far more reliable than Sig... and I'm no Glocker.

Darn Sig P229R will hickup and fail to feed like mad if she's run dry. She'll do almost as bad w/ water on the rails. The P228 that came before her ground out its rails after a bit of sand and some salty air. Glocks? Nope. Wet, dry, dirty, dropped in a cow pie- it's all good. You may not have a second strike option like you would with a Sig, but I've yet to have a failure to fire to restrike. CONFUS12.gif

Personal picks:
G29 w/ mag extension if you like an autoloader with some punch.
CZ-75 if you prefer autoloaders in mid-cal.
SP101 in .327 magnum if you like revolvers.
Taurus Judge if you like buckshot.
Super Redhawk, Raging Bull, or Desert Eagle if you enjoy scaring the piss out of your attackers.

If you're suicidal, go for one of those 45-70 deringers. They're great if you get mugged by an elephant. thumb.gif

Well if you want to stay with subcompact maybe look into one of the Para Hawg pistols. If you dont mind going a little bigger a bunch of companies make commander and officer sized 1911s.
