I don't know about their AK's, but I've received some decent guns from AIM. Never had a problem with them.

Though i havent bought any weapons from them,i have several other things from AIM never had a problem and their shipping has sped up a bit.I was looking at their WASR 10/63 and it just seemed too good to be true im still on the reluctant side though.

See how the receiver has no dimples? That is a single stack gun opened up and had rails welded in it to take a double stack mag. The ones I have seen some are okay and some have alot of wobble to the mag. The local shop has sold a ton of them and never had one come back that I know of. Matter of fact I traded one for another supposedly higher end one with the dimples and have had nothing but trouble its going to the gunsmith hopefully this Saturday. Me personally I would want to look at that type before buying. Just my 2 cents.

i have 2 ak's from aim. one i JUST got, built in 1985. my second and first was built in 75. tho i haven't shot the newer one, the older run runs like a champ. never once had any hicup. i can't say its the best ak in the world, but for the price, i don't see much else coming close.

Never bought an AK from 'em, but I have bought just about everything ELSE, and with NO complaints! AIM is good folk! thumb.gif

Thanks for the replies guys. For the price they ask I guess I can't go wrong. There don't seem to be too many serious, high-grade Hungarian AMD's out there anyway.

The birthday is this weekend, I just might be ordering one. bigsmile.gif

Thanks, but I think that is the same rifle. The AMD's on AIM's site use FEG receivers.
