Theres a few parts Im not sure about.

The one part where it asks for "Additional Description (Include all numbers and other identifying data that will appear on the firearm)"

What would I put there?

For the caliber, how can I cover the .22 and 5.56? Put multi for the caliber?

Which lower are you using?

Caliber put
5.56 / .50cal
or
5.56 / 5.7
or
5.56 / 7.62

The first two I did they accepted on my Form 1
.223 ~ .50cal

the last two, nope they kicked it back to me had to be identified so I just put 5.56.

Its a Spikes Tactical lower.

I am going to use it for 5.56 and Ill either get a dedicated .22 upper or just use my .22 conversion. Do I even need to bother with the multi caliber thing if I just plan on using my .22 conversion in it?

Exampl
e Name of the Lower
Spikes AR15

then the lower could have additional engraving from Spikes
Example
Defender 100

the Defender 100 would be the Additional Description.

So I need to put Spikes Tactical ST-15 for the type, and 5.56/.22 LR for the caliber correct? Now I just need to get it signed by my CLEO, get the photos, and save up some cash. lol

i would advise using only one caliber/barrel length/overall length.

they have been kicking back forms for multiple calibers and whatnot.

One more question. Do I have to send it in right away once I get the CLEO signature, or would it be ok if I waited a month or so? I should be able to get it all signed this week, but I wont have the $$$ till sometime next month.

Waiting a month shouldn't be a problem at all! thumb.gif

I agree with Jeff, however with the influx of form 1 and 4's if they see you waited for a month or longer they might ask you to resubmit with a fresh CLEO signature.

I too am thinking of doing a SBR and had questions about the forms. They seem too simple to be a Gov't document. The CLEO will not be a problem but I don't want any hold ups due to a mistake on the Form 1.
