How many round your figure you get??

Say you have a 8lb container of Hodgdon H335 how many rounds you figure you get out of that??
Just wondering how far the powder goes.

Consider what your load calls for and divide that into 7000 for a 1 lb. container. Example: 25grs per case will give you approximately 280 loads. The 8 lb container should give you about 2240 rounds of loaded ammo.

I typically user rougher planning numbers rounded off. That way I have a little buffer to cover whoops, or heck I like to shoot more than I thought. It also helps me do planning easier because i use multiple bullet weights and different powders.

For example, .223/5.56mm, I use the figure 250 a lb. Between light and heavy bullets, it tends to average out that way.

That is a good cushion to figure in. I think the only issue I have is with shot shells. It seems no matter how I do the math it always seems like not many shells for the amount of components!! LOL I do know that 400 28 gauge shells take up a heck of a lot less room than the same amount of 12 gauge.
