I'm looking for an interim replacement for Alliant Power Pistol. I like Power Pistol a lot for 10mm and .40S&W, but in the current climate where everything is unavailable I'm having to switch it up.

Ramshot Silhouette looks like a decent alternative. Anyone have any experience with it?

True Blue and Enforcer get you more power than Silhoutte, but it is a good powder that burns clean. It would work good with lighter 155 grain bullets and down.

The Ramshot load manual (v4.3a, from their web site) doesn't list any loads for Enforcer and just two for True Blue in 10mm. In .40 it looks like mostly a tossup between Silhouette & True Blue, but I'm strictly a plinker in .40 so the slight True Blue advantage is kind of superfluous.

Is that a limitation of their load data posted? True Blue looks nice because you can use it lots of places, including .41 Mag and .44 Mag, although it looks a lot less effective in those calibers than in Enforcer, and I'll probably stick with H110 for them (which also works with .50AE).

Ramshot Silhouette is the same powder as the old Winchester WAP. The load data is pretty much interchangeable.

Hope this helps.

I use it with light to medium bullets in 9x19, I haven't tried it in 10mm yet. It works great with 90 and 115gr bullets in the 9, it's lacking when you get to the 124's because it's fast.

It does burn very cleanly, and it seems to be available as opposed to a lot of other stuff out there.
