A three dollar jump in price since I last got Wolf 7.62x39..

I had to get someone over for a price check because they had two lots of the exact same ammo on two different shelves. One priced $7.49 and the other marked $9.99.. I bet if I go back now it will all be marked $9.99 I would have bought more but I hate paying even that much for Wolf. It was only a few months back the same stuff was $4.49..

Whisky Tango Foxtrot

What is up with retailers and the people that they hire…

I took a little extra time today at lunch to continue my quest for 7.62x39,,, nothing worth buying but I did spot a 100 rounds of federal 5.56 for $499.99… blink.gif

I was at Sheels sporting goods looking for ammo when I seen a display advertising 100 rounds of Federal American Eagle 5.56 for $499.99.. ohmy.gif

I called the clerk over and pointed it out and said this cant be right.. “Oh yes” he said “that’s right”.. Think about it I said,, that’s five bucks a round!! “Hmm,, let me check” What check,, it’s got to be a type-o look right over here you have 1000 rounds of .223 soft point for for $479. “Yah but this is 5.56,, let me do a price check”…

You do that,, and I walked out. dry.gif

Luckily, prices are dropping now. I just checked Academy Sports and it was now down to about $5.99/box.

Ammoman has Wolf MC for $259 for 1000. $5.18 a box isn't too awful.

How 'bout I insert my old guy reminiscing rant here? wink.gif

Back in MY day, we used to buy Norinco steel core for $.99 a box of 20 - and blazed 3,000 rounds in an afternoon for $149, and thought nothing of it, dagnabit!
