What is the difference in a Single stack and double stack magazine?

Ive heard people talk about them in this forum, didnt know what that meant.

Single stack means the magazine holds all the bullets in a single line, like the 1911. Double stack means the magaxzine holds two columns of bullets, like a Glock.

Double stack also like an Ar15 magazine? Im not that familiar with glocks.

Yes, Like an AR.

Single stacks were made to allow import during the ban by making the magwell incompatible with standard high cap AK mags.
The only single stack AK mags were all ban compliant to hold 10 or fewer rounds.

Single stack receivers can be modified to accept high cap mags, but you have to watch your parts count for 922R compliance before modifying and using standard mags.

not true some of the new single stack aks have a different front trunion

I was not aware of a trunion change.

Does that mean it has another US part or that moding to take a double stack is not mechanically possible?
