i want to get my CCW. where can i go, to spend the least amount of money, in my area, to obtain one? i dont have proof of the firearms training i received in FL, so a basic class again wouldn't hurt. but i dont need a million dollar class, or a class that takes longer then a day?

any ideas?

Only one I know of is right down the street from me.

However I did find one in Westminster around the 80th Wads area I believe..that was about 3yrs ago so my memory is kinda shot in that area unfortantly.

check out this site, opencarry.org as they have a lot of usefull information!

IIRC Adams County only requires the class, no shooting, however I recomend it. My buddy just got his about a year ago, and lives in Broomfield, so if I can get ahold of him (Just went back into the army) I'll ask him

gander mountain has this "profire" class. 150$. 8 hours, but they offer the paper work for your utah permit too. i don't know that i would ever need the extra few states, but the additional cost is less then 100 they said, so i might just do it. anyone heard of this class?

waka, thanks, anything your friend can tell me will help!

Gander Mountain is always running courses..have been for years now. I'd say, they are still doing it..so it must be working and people must be getting their permits.

Look up your county website in regards to CCW and see what is required, then go from there. Some counties require just a 8hr class..some require a shooting, and some even require an additional class (8hrs more) and a shooting!
