On Auction Arms a dealer is selling 1000 round bulk packs of Federal XM193BK for $409.98 with free shipping (Buy It Now price). The same dealer has several auctions going for 500 round cases with free shipping where you may be able to beat that per round cost. If interested go to auctionarms.com and type Federal 5.56 in the search box. Or just click on the link. http://www.auctionarms.com/search/auctions.aspx

If you like PMC Bronze 223, the same dealer is selling 1000 rounds for $409.98 with free shipping (Buy It Now price). Type PMC 223 in the search box at the same website listed above. There are auctions running for this ammo as well which may allow a patient purchaser to acquire it a bit cheaper.

so from what i saw with my quick search of the auction arms site it looks like the same hoarders from gun broker have found a new site to push product on. 100 rounds of 380 acp for $72 shipped!?!? c'mon guys. if no-one buys over priced ammo from auction sites the rapists won't have money coming in to buy more ammo to resell at inflated prices. it's a cycle that needs to be put to an end. one guy has wolf military classic on there for $40/100 plus shipping. places like palmetto state sell that same ammo for about 45% less than that. just signs of another hoarder. there do seem to be a few decent deals on there but remember vendors can up bids by having a friend bid it up, panic kicks in and someone is dupped into paying $.50 a round plus shipping.

oh yeah,AIM has Centurion .223 bulk packs, $358.33/k Shipped. so that's cheaper than the wolf on auction arms by a long shot.

There may be people doing exactly what you say. There are also legitimate dealers selling ammo on that site at what are reasonable prices for today's market. It is up to the buyer to decide what is a fair price. You complained that no one else was contributing to this thread and then when someone does, all you do is fire off a sermon about hoarders and rapists.. Do you want other people to contribute? If so, this is not the way to have that happen.

i appreciate the heads up. i'm just saying use caution when bidding as it's easy to get caught up in the hype and kick yourself later. i've done this myself personally and am just saying use caution. i mentioned there are good deals to be had on the site from what i've seen but haven't heard any real feedback thus far.

I would highly recommend you do not buy from Elite Ammunition. I ordered 1,000 rds. of .223 from them around 6 months ago and I have still not received my ammo. I made multiple calls and e-mails to them and each time that I finally got in contact with them they told me it would be out the following week. I was told this at least 3 different times and obviously the ammo never got to my house. They are also poor in responding to e-mails and picking up their phone when you attempt to call them.

I would go with a different supplier.

Really?
I pick my phone all the time. If a VM is left I reply if I can understand it. If someone is inconsiderate enough to call and not leave a VM I still try to use my caller ID to call them back.

If I stated your ammo was shipped it was shipped.

PM me with you information and I will be happy to look into it.

This is also the number on our site and unless I am in a meeting I will answer it.

I still have not heard from you.

Dan's Sporting Goods has Fiocchi 223 FMJ 55 gr for $389.99 plus shipping for a case of 1000 (20/50 round boxes). I just received a case of this last Friday. It looks good, but I haven't shot any yet. I have always been impressed with the Fiocchi I have shot in other calibers in the past. Here is a link if you are interested. http://www.dansammo.com/ammo.asp

Classic Arms http://catalog.classicarms.us/ has 62gr FMJ Wolf for $289.95/1000

J&G Sales http://www.jgsales.com/ has the same item for $289.90/1000

Palmetto State Armory http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/223-556-ammo.php has both 55 gr and 62 gr Wolf FMJ for $279.00/1000

The Armory http://www.the-armory.com/shopsite_sc/stor...ammunition.html also has the 55gr HP Wolf for $279/1000

There is a lot of ammo out there. Wolf is often less expensive than most other brands, but a lot of people don't want to shoot steel cased ammo. Even if you aren't interested in the ammo you see listed in these posts, you should check out the websites. You may find something else that suits your needs. It is also a good idea to bookmark these sites. Next time you want to purchase ammo, you will have a bunch of places to look without having to scour threads like this for deals that may no longer be available.

Scheels had more .6 and TAP ammo than I've seen in a loooong time, but it was $23 a box for the TAP.

Walmarts in my area aren't that well stocked yet. Gander Mountain has a lot of ammo. They also have an asston of AR's.

Volume of pieces for guns, weight or volume of rounds for ammo. They had cases of XM193 sitting there.
