been noticint there's a lack of a decent "current deals" thread here. so lets see if y'all can keep this alive. best deal i got was yesterday mornin when the local wall-e-werld guy called at 7:15 a.m. and told me to get over quick. he just got in and had several 45 acp and 38 spl 100 round value packs on the shelf. i got 2 of each and left plenty for everyone else. each box was only $29.97 for a grand total of $128.27 that's $.32 a pop after tax. and ombexpress shows 223 ranger in stock for $11.11 for a 20 pack

COOLEST deal I've seen on a SHELF of late, was Federal M855 - 300 round packs for $149 at Dunham's Sports here in Pittsburgh this morning! ohmy.gif

They have a LOT of overpriced Q3131, PMC Bronze, and Federal M193 (all $.50 a round or MORE), but the M855 was intriguing! If I didn't already have some LC M855 coming in strippers and bandoliers (GREAT Gunbroker steal this week! really.gif ), and another 240 of Privi 69gr. match on the way... on top of the 500 rounds of Centurion M193 that came yesterday... laugh.gif ... I'd of bought a brick! I've only got 12k of .223 right now, so I am concerned about running out soon... wink.gif

They also had Remington 525 ct. .22LR bricks for $19.95. Picked up one of those, too!

"I am bemused by the continuous attempt on the part of various commentators to establish "a link between Saddam Hussein and al-Qaeda." Somehow I do not see a problem there. When I was in school, there was no difficulty in establishing a link between the Stanford football team, the Stanford band, and the Stanford faculty. They were all "sons of the Stanford red." All these Moors are card-carrying Moors."

50 cents is decent for M855, but I see little reason to bother with steel core unless your rifle likes it better due to the bullet weight. In fmj I thing M193 is a better overall round. With XM193 easily found at 40 cents or less, I'd go that route if my rifle shot it better.

Winchester Q series always seems more expensive than the Federal stuff. Don't know why as they seem to shoot the same. Must be due to scarcity. Why they would charge more for XM193 and PMC especially is beyond me. What the local market would bear I guess.

Good thing I have Wally World for Federal and Academy for Monarch near me. I'd be ticked if my local options were all at 50 cents a pop.

Tell me how you like it when you get it. Look at the edge weld too and note the quality there.

I just wish ATG would get that 62gr Silver Bear HP back at a good price again. One day I'm going to have to call John there and beg him to find me a sealed spam can of that stuff.

Never shot Brown Bear before. Or Golden Bear for that matter. Dunno why either. I just always had something either better or easier to get my paws on.

23 cents is sounding good though. Hope that signals that all the imports are starting to stack up again finally.

Yeah I even saw this: http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/US_.223_55grn_FMJ.html

They don't even bother listing the manufacturer in the title. Though if you look you will finally see the Centurion on the box.

Though this is very nice! http://www.aimsurplus.com/acatalog/Federal..._55grn_FMJ.html

Federal XM193 for 38 cents a pop on strippers in 30 count sleeves!

I know a guy who sells bandoleers that he buys off the Lejeune base shooting range and sells them for a buck a pop. http://newriversalvage.com/id6.html

I've bought his bandoleers before and they are brand spanking new. Even still has the string still in them so you can convert them to mag carriers.

Between the two sources you could be cranking out filled bandoleers at the same price as generic bulk Federal from Wally World.

Definitely a fun way to load up for Judgment Day. thumb.gif

Hi guys, what is the difference in the 193 ammunition as far as the nomenclature like, 193C, 193AF, 193CBP etc. ?

Nothing at all. Those later letters denote types of packaging or end user.

If it comes from Federal and says M193 somewhere in the nomenclature then it all comes off the same factory line.

It's good to see the ammo supply getting back to "normal." Some prices are coming down. For decades I bought .22LR for 2 cents per round, now paying 3 cents per round- not horrible, but seems like a lot, since it's 50% higher.

Ammunition to go now has Federal Lake City 5.56 XM193BK bulk packed in a 1000rd. Case for $369.95. That's about as good as it gets right now for Military ammo.

Federal XM193BK

Just got back from Dunham's Sports with 400 rounds of Federal American Eagle Tactical XM193 5.56 fmj for $99.99! Well plus Michigan sales tax. About 26.5 cents per round after tax. Damn, I think my reloads are coming in at about 21-22 cents each when I can find cheap bullets.

Inside the brown carton is 2 black boxes with 2 (100 round) bulk packs each.

Might be worth the trip if you have a Dunham's Sports nearby. Check the bottom shelf...
