Dick's Sporting Goods has Remington .223 FMJ ammo on sale this week, $8 for 20, $20 for 50, or $80 for 200 (UMC brand), they had a good supply of each package size when I visited the local store.

Besides what Watson said about UMC quality, that's no deal either. You can get Federal at Walmart all day every day at that same 40 cent price.

Oh how I wish that were true of my local "Wally World". No bulk .223 has made an appearance yet.

So here I am all happy - found Lake City 5.56 on one internet catalog that I usually order from at a great price of $7.57 a box. So I throw in an order for 25 boxes. Get an email back saying they are all sold out except for 1 box... crying.gif I don't know about you, but I wouldn't order 1 box and then tack on shipping costs on top of that. Kind of upset they still shipped it without calling or seeing if wanted a replacement or anything. Now that one box went from $7.57 to $15.57 thumbdown.gif I hope it doesn't show up at my door...

Or their hoping John Q. Public doesn't know. "Armor piercing" sounds much more tacti-cool than "penetrator"

These places sell out fast and it pops up again at other places as shops get their shipments in. You could likely call Midsouth and ask for their next drop date.

Btw, if you want some right now then here's some: http://yhst-25955672838162.stores.yahoo.ne...2amxm55fmj.html

39 cents a round is pretty much the going rate for this stuff these days.

H&H is a bit newer to the bulk sales scene, but several members here have ordered from them and liked the service.

Dunno about NJ, but down South Wally World sells pretty decent Federal fmj at $40/100. They usually also sell UMC, but we leave that for the gang bangers to buy.

If you are down in the south east, Academy Sports and Outdoors has a killer deal on some steel cased ammo. Monarch brand .223 box of 20 for $3.99 at my local store in Decatur Al. Website says $5.99 which is still a deal but might wanna check with your local store anyway. limit of 20 boxes per customer.

Also look at their Monarch brass case ammo too. It's relabeled Prvi Partisan. Good stuff.

Cheapest I've seen in a while!

http://www.palmettostatearmory.com/223-556-ammo.php

Federal AE XM193 costing $7.50 for a 20 round box. That's 37 cents a round! And you can buy any amount instead of having to buy a big case.

If you need some Federal XM193 this is the best buy I've seen since this time last year.

Don't wait as you know this stuff will be gone in no time.

BTW, just to save you from doing the math, it's cheaper to buy the 20 rd. boxes of the AE stuff than it is to purchase the bulk boxes.
