COOLEST deal I've seen on a
SHELF of late, was Federal
M855 - 300 round packs for $149 at
Dunham's Sports here in Pittsburgh this morning!
They have a
LOT of overpriced Q3131, PMC Bronze, and Federal M193 (all $.50 a round or MORE), but the M855 was intriguing! If I didn't already have some LC M855 coming in strippers and bandoliers (GREAT Gunbroker steal this week!

), and another 240 of Privi 69gr. match on the way... on
top of the 500 rounds of Centurion M193 that came yesterday...

... I'd of bought a brick! I've only got 12k of .223 right now, so I am concerned about running out
soon...
They also had Remington 525 ct. .22LR bricks for $19.95. Picked up one of those,
too! 50 cents is decent for M855, but I see little reason to bother with steel core unless your rifle likes it better due to the bullet weight. In fmj I thing M193 is a better overall round. With XM193 easily found at 40 cents or less, I'd go that route if my rifle shot it better.
Winchester Q series always seems more expensive than the Federal stuff. Don't know why as they seem to shoot the same. Must be due to scarcity. Why they would charge more for XM193 and PMC especially is beyond me. What the local market would bear I guess.
Good thing I have Wally World for Federal and Academy for Monarch near me. I'd be ticked if my local options were all at 50 cents a pop.
