for a shtf rifle...does it matter if just the bolt is chromed or does both the bolt and the bolt carrier have to be chromed?

also is it important to have a chromed firing pin, key etc?

or is it just for cleaning?

and how much better is chrome then microslick?

I don't know the difference between Micro-Slick and Chrome yet... But a phosphated BCG vs a chromed BCG, the chrome BCG wins. Doesn't need as much lube and that's a good thing.

They dont have to be chrome. I find it is easier to clean, and requires a little less lube.

I like the chrome ones myself, easier to clean and seems like the lube goes on easier.

I have both and still prefer the chrome.

Tin is alright, but it will wear off wear the chrome is harder and has never shown significant wear.
