so i had an idea, in my off time. i have a lot of non populated areas just down the street from my house, and i've been thinking.
i was thinking about picking up a simmons high powered scope, something over 20, i think they have a 25power. its also very cheap.
now i know this isnt a high quality scope, but here's my idea.
id like to get an old beater rifle, or maybe even a cheap pellet gun, and mount the scope to it. paint it bright orange so no one fears its a real gun (if anyone ever came across where i was). then at max zoom focus on something VERY far away, practice breathing techniques and steadying my hand. i figure even the littlest movements at HIGH powers, become very drastic. so if i can learn to steady myself at 25times, ill be set for lower powers, and shorter shots.
and since the scope only needs to let me SEE far away, and not deal with recoil, it shouldn't need to be a93489384$ scope.
does this sound like something worth doing, or would it be wasting my time?
input is very welcome..
