i am building my first AR and have been looking around for lowers and so far i have take a liking to dpms but my wallet thinks other wise lol and with that in mind i went back online and found that spike had a there lowers pretty cheap but from what i have found out they are very tight fitting and have a shiny black coating. so i have went back again and landed on the black rain site and there lowers look sweet with the flared mag well. i plain on using multiple uppers for this gun and my first will be the ar57 upper using the ps90 mags and the mag well turns in to a brass dump shoot lol. i come to you people because well you know a butt load more then i do when it comes to AR's and any help would be awesome

A Black Rain lower would be a great choice.

I've used lowers from DPMS, Olympic, Superior, Anvil Arms, Stag, Spikes, and LAR. All have been good lowers. If you find any of these in a good price you have nothing to worry about as long as the mag wells aren't tight on the Oly or Superior.

My two most used lowers are a DPMS and a Superior. The Superior is from a group buy a couple of years back. A lot of people were not happy with theirs. They all had finish problems. I paid an extra $50 for a supposed to be Coyote Duracoat and it wears off. I haven't had a function problem with mine though.

YHM makes a decent lower and it's pretty inexpensive.
