Looking for a tactical light for my XD40

I seen a few threads on using handheld flashlights with scope mounts.. Anything on the cheap end that will work with my gun, and NOT be excessive (in size) or goofy looking?

Or do I need to fork out $150-250 for a designed light? I plan on getting a designed light/holster later on down the road, but for now, looking for the cheapest option possible.

I doubt you will find something nice and compact using a scope ring and light.

I put an Insight M3 on my XD45 and I love it. You can manipulate the switch just normally holding the gun. And it costs around $100.

I have two of the older TLR-1's and I've been very happy with them both. Battery life is excellent and they're plenty bright.

That said, the new C4 LED models are MUCH brighter. I'd make the switch in a heartbeat if the funds were available.

See one thing I noticed is the M3 is made out plastic?

I liked the TLR-1 because of the aluminum body. And that C4 model is sweetly bright!

That's what I got! $130 OTD at gander mountain.

paid about $15 more than online.. as I'd have to pay for shipping. But I got it same day.. by far the best treat to myself this year. Early xmas present smile.gif
