What is wrong with .40 S&W you ask? It is short & weak..... really.gif

Compared to a 10mm or a 44mag it is but it is not shorter or weaker than a 9mm.

I have to agree with the ToeCutter. The .40 S&W is an adequate defense round, it's just eclipsed by the 10mm in so many different ways. I shoot the forty as a practice round through my 10mm revolvers. I'm not ambivalent towards the .40 S&W. It just seems like a solution to a non-existent problem. Why would you want a .38 Special, when the .357 Magnum is right around the corner?

The more I look at the 10mm the more I am impressed with it everything except cost and availability of ammo.

Yeah don't get me wrong. I mean, .40 S&W is a good round, no doubt. But no matter what, it will always be neutered 10 mm. laugh.gif
