Extreme Shock is complete and utter crap. When a tiny little upstart company comes up with something like this, the wise man waits to see what happens. If it is truly a huge step forward, and it does great things, major ammunition manufacturers would be beating a path to their doors, carrying truckloads of cash for the rights to use the bullet or it's design. Since I know that Extreme Shock stuff has been around for at least 3-5 years, and I've yet to see any real manufacturer load it, I'm going to assume it's garbage.
Now, even if you disregard my prior assumptions, then let's look at it from another angle. Whenever a new bullet comes out, there is a rush by .gov agencies to test it, if they think it's worth anything at all. I've yet to see any department issue or even approve this ammunition, and I've talked to both regular officers, and to firearms instructors from just about every agency in my state. Some issue Hornady, some issue Remington Golden Sabre, some Ranger SXTs, but the largest number issue either Federal Hydrashoks or Speer Gold Dots. I've heard of exactly ZERO departments issuing or approving any oddball ammunition for handguns.
So, Extreme Shock has gotten a pass from all major ammunition manufacturers, and from law enforcement. I'm thinking it's not all that the tacticool "operators" on their advertising flyers make it out to be.
