With the killFlash installed

The dot with the front lens cap closed.

The dot appears to be larger than it actually is for several reasons: the front lens cap is closed, the dot intensity is on a medium setting and the pic is an up close and magnified.

I thought I should add a pic that's in its proper context and isn't as sterile.

Looks great. I see it looks like there are 2 locations to adjust the intensity, one for NV on the left and the knob on the right (like the Aimpoint) for daytime, or is it just the battery compartment cap? I know nothing about Vortex Strikefire.

It is just the battery cap, the only adjustment is near the NV as you have already seen.

I like it. Before attaching it it looks like it will obscure the field of view. Once it's attached you can tell that it doesn't. It's similar to having an EOtech with a standard FSB with both eyes open. I do need to play with it some more.

Those batteries are available in lots of places- Walgreens, for instance. I've never seen them rechargeable. $2-$5.

I got one with my Addax GPU. I will put it on the back up AR. So far it appears to be a nice piece of hardware. I am glad I got in on the group buy! smiley_smartass.gif

Mine came in today (Wednesday 11/11/09) Seems to be a nice piece of hardware. Dots are good and small ... red is better than 4 MOA.

Will replace an EOtech on an M4gery so I can move the good one to another rifle. Have to wait until I can sight-in more than one rifle at a time ;)

Hope the Vortex lasts better than the two Aimpoints I've owned over the years. They did not impress me.
