The cross bolt is solid and the mount is high. Most will want the high mount anyway because it gives you absolute cowitness and will be over the FSP with the rear BUIS folded. I've dealt with Vortex, they are a good company and they stand behind their product. You shouldn't have a problem, everyone will be getting the latest version with extra shock protection that is compatible with the screw in killflash and the flip up killflash ARDs (anti-relection devices).

Today when I ordered my Strikefire i forgot to ask the gal at Addex if this is the AR mount version?
