I live in Fairfax and I'm looking for a good club as well - Damn, I'm amazed at the lack of indoor shooting facilities here - been living here for four years and I must say I'm not as enthused about VT as you guys are (House is for sale) just trying to make the best of it while I'm here.

I belong to the club in St. Albans and believe me it's the PITS literally, right next to a farm so in the Spring and Fall when shooting you need to wear a gas mask (manure stink is overpowering) -

I have been to and would like to join the Lamoille Valley club but just haven't gotten around to it yet . Most people shoot on their own land here (dangerous and the liability is staggering) but for those of us with 3 acres or less that's not possible and because of the weather factor a clean, new, efficient indoor handgun range would be a blessing but apparently others don't see it that way (another one of many reasons why I have to move out of this God forsaken State), the land that time forgot - lol.

I heard there was one in Colchester but the owners ran into financial hard times and it closed years ago.

It really depends on the land and the people shooting.

Some dumbasses shot a teacher in Essex a few months ago. Morons assumed it was a safe place to shoot because they had woods behind the target.

The poor guy caught a fatal round standing in his kitchen sad.gif

Sorry you're not enjoying your time in VT. From the sound of it you'll be much happier elsewhere.

I H A T E Vermont ...!!!

The anti progressive attitudes, the health care - Fletcher Allen health care has a death grip on health care up here (no real competition) and the prices are oppressive, almost twice the cost of any other Metro health care providers in other states ...

What are you talking about? I like VT. I was just saying that the great thing about Burlington is that it is so close to Vermont.

We are moving to NC this Spring (have family there) - as far as health care - my insurance plan does not fully cover me here. less than 50% -

In NC I will be fully covered so if the bill is $100,000.00 I will pay the $50.00 deductible - period ... wink.gif smile.gif

Vermont is a joke and 75% of the people here are over weight, obese, diabetic, dumb as dirt, lucky if they have three teeth left in their mouth, swamp wiggers and most of them are gay liberal puke bags.

When it takes 15 years to get a Walmart built in a Town that's some serious idiocy. VT government will eventually run by liberal GAYS and when that happens your gun rights will be in serious jeapody - mark my words, get out while you can...

Let's see 65% of all residents in Burlington are card carrying Gay Blades... laugh.gif

I think that is a good start. 25 years or more would be better.

I'm no fan of Walmart but the Town and area we're talking about is depressed and if there was ever an area that needed a Walmart it's this one - It will help a very large part of the community lower there already inflated cost of living.

Not sure exactly what your argument is: first your in Florida. Second, if you left here to move to FL then you just made my argument even stronger. Why would you leave if you thought so highly of it - you shouldn't even be commenting in this thread as you don't live here anymore or if you ever had. If you Winter in FL that makes it just as bad, then you would be wearing two faces (VT is just to tough for me in the Winter so I run and hide to FL until Spring), my moving has nothing to do with the weather it's all about my insurance or lack thereof, and the politics. So what exactly is YOUR story?
