Crap. The video didn't load right for me. In any event - 'track day' always rules. Esp when you have a little Mopar goodness to bring along. thumbsup.gif

I would love to go to a track day with my Mustang. I've played on some of the curvy streets around here and had a blast with it.

You should do it. Find a local car club - one of just about any fetish - and they'll probably have some sort of clinic with a track day involved. That's what this guy did.

The going rate for track day depends on a whack of things, one of them being how many folks sign up for it. I think the guys that attended the weekend my shots are from paid about $350 for Saturday & Sunday tech sessions and track time.

There isn't any road courses around here, nearest one is in Ennis as far as I know. Which is about 6-8 hours north of here.

Etho, there is a lot of autocrossing in Texas. It is a lot of fun and a great way to learn the limits before going to the track. SCCA ( http://scca.org/home.aspx ) should have something in your area.

What's 6-8 hours? Hell - it's expensive enough that you wouldn't be going more than 2-3 times a year anyway - even if you had that much opportunity. There's guys on the track when I've been up there that came from 2-3 days away.

Good point.

Bruce, they use to SCCA auto crossing here regularly but I haven't seen it in a while. I bet they have it in Houston though. I'm gonna look into it.

Great pics folks. I don't get into car racing or performance rig anymore. Most of the stuff I worked on was just changing over from generators to alternators and 6Volt to 12Volt.

That said... Nice suicide doors scotto!!!
