I was recently purchased a Streamlight Supertac C4 LED . It is the brightest little flashlight I have ever seen.

I am wanting to mount this thing to my 20 inch flat top upper for coyote/skunk/varmint hunting.

Upper is a plain jane 20 inch ban period type without bayo lug or flash suppressor. Was a standard A2 type, but I put a flat top on her.

Would something like this work:

with this:

Or will it interfere with my view through the scope? The regular sight castle sticks way up there and isnt even visable through the glass.

I hate to spend the money and have the parts go into my usless gun parts box.

Thanks for the help,
Chaos

the second one looks ok if you have a quadrail forend if not i would say no to either of those unless you mounted them on the side of the optics or had a double or triple rail mount to go on your flat top upper, jmo if any of them the second one has the most possibility thumb.gif cb.gif enjoy the disease

Can I suggest a better light for less money? I'm a big night time predator hunting and have tried a LOT of different lights in the field.

Sure. I am new to predator hunting. I already purchased the light but am open to suggestions.

My son and I took this nice bobcat at 5:45 pm today approximately 90 degrees outside while dove hunting this afternoon. Walked to within 60 yards of us or about 100 yards from the house. WE HAVE A VARMINT PROBLEM! It takes lots of rounds of birdshot to bring down a tom like this:

Congrats on the bobcat! I love to shoot cats.

Here's a discussion on Solarforce which is my new favorite.

Have you considered a 2 person team and using a spotlight at night? It can be pretty inexpensive to build a good 12 volt light.
