Hey guys, I don't know if you remember, but awhile ago I asked about smoothing out my trigger? I decided to give it a try, so I put the FCG out, and used some 400 grit sand paper and some 600 grit. I basically just polished the face of the trigger, nothing else. When I put it all back together, it was awesome...but I dry fired it a bit (20-30 times) and found that it went from nice and smooth to VERY heavy...way less creep, but really really heavy. I took the FCG back out, and looked at it, and it didn't look like anything had changed. I put it back together, and suddenly it was back to the nice smooth pull. So, I dry fired it some, and it started doing it again! But this time, a few times it was like the trigger put was ridiculously light, but only after I would pull the trigger. It would catch on the disconnecter, but as soon as I started to move my finger (and therefore the trigger) forward, it would drop the hammer instead of catching. Any ideas? I noticed that the hammer catch where the trigger acutally trips isn't level...I didn't mess with it, but I did notice that. Would simply smoothing the front of the trigger cause me all these problems? sad.gif

Norcalwelder, Interesting situation. Can you post some pics for us to look at. Specifically the interfacing surfaces of the FCG.

I won't be able to take pictures for a few days, but when I can, I'll put them up. I posted this in the "Armorer" forum as well, so just a heads up on that.

OOps! Fixed it until it broke! I've done that more than once myself...
Post the pics and we may be able to see what went awry...

Hello gentlemen, not trying to jack the post here, but my two stage trigger on my Noveske has a real rough feel when pulled, and it is way to tight, need to mod it. Can you provide a how to thread for me. Been looking and will still look in the meantime. (FOUND IT triggerwork.net) !! what a great deal.
