I am thinking of getting a tactical shotgun. I am talking about somthing small and cheap that I can mount a light and maybe some luminous dot sites on.

1. Are there any particular brands I should avoid?

2. Can you typically remove a factory butt-stock and replace it with one that has a pistol grip on it?

Im not getting an $1100 dollar auto-shotty here.

You guys know of an place I can find a rear site comprised of a mounted metal ring(I dont know what the term for this is) through which I would align a front mounted fiber optic pip?

Dude that is all on you...

Whatever floats your boat... when dealing with subjects like this you need to be completely subjective... what feels natural to you needs to be what you want.
