Got a question for you Springfield guys. What kind of accuracy are you getting out of yours? I have a loaded model and from a rest at 25 yards I can barely keep them on an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper. Is this normal? I was thinking when I bought it I would have much better luck than that.

You should have a fist sized group out of the box, if not better. You have any other 45s?

I have a 5 inch Springer LW Operator and can hold an 8 in group at 50 yds with it from a rest using 230 Corbon DPX. I have not tried my Nighthawk Custom at that kind of range yet but I expect it to be better even with a 4 inch barrel.

I have grouped 2.25" at 25 yards and 4" at 50 yards with a loaded SA and discharging Hornady 200Gr JHP/XTP, but it was on a day that the God's Firearms were smiling on me. wink.gif

Nope, this is the only 45 I have. I have several other pistols - 9mm, 357, and a ruger Mk I 22. I just expected like 2 1/2 inches at 25 yards from a loaded springer. I must say this though. I have only put about 200 rounds through it so far. Is it true that these need to be broken in before the groups will settle?

Shot my TRP for the 1st time today & at 25 yards it was all easily inside a 10" paper plate. Did not shoot for grouping & was all off hand shooting.

What kind of turn-around should I expect on a repair for accuracy problems?? They have had mine for almost a month now and all I can get from them is "It's in the repair shop".

I hope that's the problem with mine. I don't mind the wait as long as it's right when I get it back.

After about 300 rounds out of my Loaded, I can put three shots in damn near the same hole. A little muscle memory and the Springer proves to be an accurate as hell gun.

I hope mine will do that if I ever get it back. I emailed the first of the week and they said they were taking it to the range sometime this week.
I really expected a lot faster turnaround on fixing the problem...

I finally got my baby back!!! Whoo hoo...
It appears that they had to replace the barrel and the bushing. I noticed they put a stainless bushing in place of the original blued one so that's a plus.
They also sent the target in where they tested it. With five rounds at 25 yards it put them all within a 2" cirlce. Now that's more like what I expected when I first bought it.
Thanks a lot for all the suggestions. Without you guys help I would have probably either tried to fix it myself, or just kept it like it was and been disappointed.
Springfield is off my $ht list now! ha ha...
