Ok so im sure this question has come up often and I apparently can't figure out the right word combanation for the search engine so here goes..

I am looking to have someone build my my 10mm. Its a titanium caspian frame with a commander damascus slide. Lots of other internals but not all of them. Ive had the parts for 2 years and im tired of looking at them all sad in a box. So if there are any reccomendations on reputable and capable smiths i would be much appreciative. Thanks

Heres a list of a few smiths capable of working on your project:

The Action works - Don Williams

Harrison Custom - John Harrison

Sams Custom Gunworks - Dave Sams

Fletcher custom pistols - Richard Fletcher

I've had work done by John Harrison on two 1911's and they turned out perfect. I have consulted with Don on a few tips/tricks with the 10mm in the 1911 platform, but I have not had anything built worked on by him yet. Dave sams has done quite a few 10mm setups that I have seen on other forums and they also looked great....especially a long slide caspian 1911. WOW. Richard Fletcher had work on my FN HP and that turned out very nice....he also had a short wait list. Might check with him if you are in a "hurry". At any rate, any of those guys should be able to handle the work you need done. I'm currently using Dave Erickson of Condition one to build my 10mm 1911 but we havent started yet....have a few weeks wait for the barrel and then its off to him.

My 'smith, Robert Krone of RK Gunsmithing, built a superb 10mm CCO for me, and has really tricked out his own Javelina. Here's a link to his website:

Terry Tussy is one of the finest gun smiths out there that I know of. He has had many of his guns featured in Guns & Ammo as well as many other gun mags. He built a beautiful damascus long slide for a friend of mine. They are true workes of art. He isn't cheap and he takes awhile to build but I think well worth the wait.
