Any of them finish the run with intact electrical systems? Not busting on 'em too bad, because I love the Daytona, but they really need to get that stuff worked out. Stopped a guy whose lights were flashing in a weird pattern, turned out his tach was bouncing all over the place, various lights on the speedo/tach cluster were flashing on at random times, and he was afraid to shut it off before he got home. Saw him a week later after he'd put a new tach on it (at a dealer suggestion) and it then said he had a 14k rpm idle, and it wasn't charging. A friend of mine let me ride his Daytona a few times, and it was a great bike to ride, until sparks started flying. Triumph builds a fun bike, but man.... it would be depressing to spend that kind of scratch on a bike to have it spend that much time in the shop.
The new Triumphs are fairly trouble free. They source from the same suppliers that the Japs use. All they make in England is the frames and engines. The same is true for most others. Even Harley buys from overseas. They use Nissan brakes and Showa forks and shocks. I would bet the electronics are from Asia too.
