Where can you go to find info on a S&W series pistol? I have several 10xx pistols and would like to research their serial numbers. Thanks

I use the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson by Jim Supica and Richard Nahas.
I got it at a used bookstore. It will answer most of your serial number and history of models questions.

This might work for you:

My reference does not list that serial number range. You can call S&W customer service and they will give you the DOB over the phone for free.
