How awesome is it?

20+1 capacity? Awesome accuracy? Why don't I own one?

Might want to ask the guys in the 5.7 sub-forum, sure they have more input. I also want one or two... unsure.gif

supposedly accurate to 50 yards.... i have not tested that distance yet...

i love the feel of it in my hand, but not everyone does so find a place you can fondle one first before buying!

it has a sharp little kick to it, but its no big deal to handle and target re-aquisition is fast.

in some states, if you commit a crime with it you get extra fines/years because of its muzzle velocity is over 2000fps (i think its close to 2100)

the ammo is expensive, but with panzer around, reloads amy be a viable option.

there are 30 round mags for it.....

it can be a bit stiff and tight at first.... just use it and it will be perfect.

I like the trigger pull, some dont.

as with all guns... best t get a chance to fire one if at all possible before buying... the arent cheap...

The factory SS195 with 28gr bullet does 1900fps. from the pistol.

Elite's S4 with 28gr bullet does 2600fps. from the pistol.

Actually the PS90 it is very accurate out to 100 yards. That's when you hit the wall. The bullet just does not have enough weight to maintain it's high velocity beyond 100yards.

Honestly if I have a 100 yard or more shot I have time to grab my FN FAL.

Just saw one at my local gunshop. As others have stated the round is very impressive. Would be more interested in owning one if the price was a little lower and the ammo was more available localy. The guy at the shop said they will be a great collector pistol that will only go up in value.

Just picked mine up a few days ago. So far, so good! I am hoping to get out and shoot more this week since it finally quit snowing and raining around here. Pics coming soon too!

i owned one, i loved it and so did my wife. if i can find the pic's i will post them, i have some in low light outside. the 5 7 is a fun but expensive gun to shoot, it does draw attention when i was at the ranges. if i remember correctly it was designed for carry in Belgium for tactical defense. it is a zippy round carry similar ballistics to a 22mag. unfortunately i had to sell mine.. i miss it and i will replace it, one day.
all in all it is a great gun

Mail order helps a lot with the price issue, but requires a bit more planning.
Tanner's Sports Center in PA usually has the best prices on FN firearms.

Easily one of my favorites in both the pistol 5-7 model and the ps90. it's just too easy to burn up too many rounds at the range! :(

The FiveSevens are awesome guns! I have sold a few of them through my store, and recently bought one for myself. I loved the fact that it came with three 20 round magazines. When I took it out and shot it I knew I had found my next favorite gun! The recoil wasn't much worse than that of a .22 long rifle. The muzzle flash was extremely bright. At 50 yards this gun was right on.

You can also buy the PS-90s or the AR-15 upper in the 5.7x28...

At $20.00 per 50rds I don't think this is an expensive round. It can be found almost anywhere on the internet for this price. Almost cheaper than reloading. Especially when you consider that reloadin invalidates the warranty - gun is not cheap so keep the warranty. Reloading correctly is critical because of the size of the ammo that makes perfection in reloading critical.

flea.gif As long as you can get factory ammo for $20.00 per 50 over the internet, almost anywhere, availability is not an issue while the price of the gun is.

Resale value on it should be good though. So a person could have one, use it for 5 or 20 years and sell it and maybe loose $100.00. Not a bad cost for a lot of fun.
