Took one out today for a spin, I put 250 through her and I was impressed, groups were nice, shot great, overall finish was good (Below Kimber, above Springfield). She had a few blips with failure to return to battery but I suspect the dirty Magtech ammo I was using was to blame. I would not give up Kimber but it's not a bad choice if you can get past the external extractor.

BTW, I also checked out a Taurus PT1911 today, while I did not shoot it I was less than impressed. Price is good, machining and tolerances suck shit.

A friend has one of the S&W. Took some shooting to wear it in and make it reliable. SInce, it has been fine. MagTech is the GOOD stuff we shoot in it, Wolf being much more often.

I had a S&W 1911Sc a couple years back.

It was an excellent gun OTHER than the fact it ejected brass STRAIGHT back into my face about 30% of the time.

I sold it to a friend who loved it.
