Can't really blaim them for adjusting to new threats but, the way I see it, they have had a lot to do with those newly appearing threats. I heard something about Russia planning on selling a nuke to Iran.I don't think they would be that stupid but, they would have a lot to gain by the outcome. Before i start throwing any real stones I'll try to track down a source instead of relying upon hearsay.
Israel has publically stated they would conduct an airstrike on any nuclear facilities in Iran if Israel suspected there was nuclear ordnance being developed. Putin countered by stating if Iran was attacked, Russia would respond militarily. In preperation, Russia has just sold 29 SAMs to the Iranians last week.
The Russians and Chinese recently concluded military excercises based on an amphibious invasion of a small island Nation (read Taiwan). If Israel were to attack Iran, with Russia responding, would the Chinese become involved? And if so...would the Chinese then sieze the military oppurtunity and invade Taiwan?
